Project Summary

Zerktouni Primary School is a public school for youth age five to 15 in Bouarfa, Morocco, population 25,000. The Parent Association has designed a project to increase technology resources for students. Parents are seeking funding to purchase ten new computers, two printers, ten desk and 20 chairs.

This project is the expanded version of a project already accomplished by the association and community members. The completed project added ten computers to the technology program, the first-ever to be owned by the school. The school wishes to replicate the project to better meet the needs of the 525 students and 23 staff. The project goes beyond adding computers to include teacher training and age-appropriate curriculum development.

Computers for students will fulfill the communities’ need for today’s youth to be strong, capable leaders. The technology-equipped classroom best prepares students for higher education and competitive job markets. The student-targeted goals of this project are to provide quality courses in information technology, increase students’ likelihood of pursuing higher education, and increase access to opportunities. For teachers, the addition of computers will improving curriculum, enhancing the classroom experience, and gain access to the latest educational breakthroughs.

The accomplishment of the previous project demonstrates the communities desire to secure high quality education for their children, and the association’s ability to implement a successful community development project. We hope that you will contribute to the project’s successfully implementation by making a donation today.
